When will registration open?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have determined that it is impossible to present Anesthesia Camp, Grand Cayman (2021). Please click here for our statement. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone on the front line defending against the global coronavirus pandemic.
I cannot or do not wish to register online. What other methods of registration are available?
Some hospital/company servers block access to the PayPal credit card processing site. If you would like to pay online, but are having difficulty, simply request an online invoice at [email protected]. Please indicate your email address, name and degree(s), MD, DO, CRNA, etc.
If you prefer to fax or mail your credit card payment/check registration, please download the Anesthesia Camp Grand Cayman Registration Form:
How do I receive the course syllabus?
All registrants will receive an electronic copy of the course syllabus approximately one week before the meeting. If you prefer a printed syllabus, you may pre-order during the registration process for a nominal charge and pick it up on site at the beginning of the meeting.
How do I receive credit for the course?
Physicians will receive CME credit administered by PeerPoint Medical Education Institute. Registered participants will received an email at the end of the meeting with instructions to create an account (or log into existing account), complete the course evaluation and request credit. You will be able to download your CME certificate.
Nurse anesthetists will receive CE hours administered by destinationCME. Registered participants will received an email at the end of the meeting with instructions to complete the course evaluation and request credit. We will email your attendance certificate to you and submit your credit hours to the AANA.
Other healthcare professionals? At the current time, we have not arranged for continuing education credits from other accrediting bodies.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
We hope you will be able to join us once you register, but if you cannot attend the meeting, please inform in writing via email to [email protected]. Our general cancellation policy is as follows:
• $100 administrative fee for cancellations received > 60 days before our meetings.
• $200 administrative fee for cancellations received 30-60 days before our meetings
• No refunds within 30 days of the meeting.
Specific cancellation deadlines are included in each course description and registration confirmation letter sent via email.
Please understand that when you register and then cancel, you may be denying another person the opportunity to attend and stay in the hotel. We have secured as many rooms as possible at The Ritz-Carlton. However, we have sold out our room block the past several years.
How do I know if the course is sold out?
If you are able to register online, there is still space in the course. We will close registration if the course is full.
If/when the hotel block fills, but course registration space exists, we will post this on the website and confirm with you before accepting your payment.
Can I register on site?
You may register on site subject to space availability. However, you may not book a room in our special group rate unless you register for the course in advance.
Where can I find hotel reservation information?
Our special group rates are available on our website. Instructions for booking a reservation at the hotel will be provided in your registration confirmation letter sent via email. If the room block is sold out, you will be notified before you register. Due to the popularity of our courses, there is a limit of one room per course registrant.
How do I know if hotel rooms are still available?
Rooms are available unless you see a notice indicating otherwise. We do encourage you to register for the meeting and book early, especially for extended stays, because our room blocks typically sell out before the registration deadline.
May I stay at another hotel?
Our courses are designed to provide an unparalleled experience for our guests – the best faculty, the best curriculum and the best resorts for your CME experience. We prefer that participants stay at our designated hotel, but we understand that some attendees may have other priorities, such as finding lodging for a large group of family or friends. You are welcome to make your own lodging arrangements, but understand that the amenities at the host hotel, outside of our meeting space and activities, are reserved for registered guests.
What is the dress code for the meeting?
Our meetings are casual. You may “come as you are” within hotel guidelines of appropriate resort attire, such as no swimsuits in meeting rooms and interior public spaces. While we try to manage the temperature of the meeting room for our participants’ comfort, we encourage you to pack a light jacket or sweater if you are prone to feeling cold in air-conditioned settings.
Will I have any time to relax and enjoy the wonderful destination?
Yes! We program our course schedule to maximize your educational, recreational and relaxation potential. Continental breakfast, interactive lectures and case discussions are held each morning, so you have afternoons and evenings to do as much or as little as you want. In addition, you and your family can join us for our welcome reception and optional excursions (where available) to socialize with faculty, colleagues and friends.
Does destinationCME arrange for excursions and other activities?
We offer a welcome reception on the first evening of our programs. Family members are invited to attend.
At beach resorts, we also offer an optional 4-hour sail, with lunch, snorkeling, and 2 hours of case discussion for CME/CE credit. Guests are welcome to accompany registered participants. We offer our popular excursion, “Sail with the Professors: Interesting Cases from the Real World” at the Grand Cayman meetings.
Beyond that, we refer you to the hotel concierge to make arrangements for local activities, attractions, and dining reservations. Obviously, the internet is replete with recommendations as well.
